Designed end-to-end experiences across mobile and web, including a scalable design system for the organization dashboard.
Year :
2022 - 2024
Industry :
Sustainability, Climat Tech
Client :
Swisscom
Project Duration :
2 years

The Product
Swiss Climate Challenge is a two-sided platform designed to help people and organisations understand and reduce the environmental impact of everyday mobility.
The mobile app automatically tracks users' journeys, provides insights into their CO₂ emissions, and encourages more sustainable travel choices through challenges and personalised feedback. A complementary web dashboard enables organisations to configure campaigns, manage rewards and wallet functionalities, and communicate with participants.

From a Design Perspective
From a design perspective, Swiss Climate Challenge was an interconnected ecosystem spanning consumer and enterprise experiences. As a Product Designer, I designed end-to-end journeys across both the mobile app and the management dashboard, balancing the needs of everyday users with those of business partners. Working within a complex technical ecosystem required designing experiences that remained intuitive despite asynchronous data, multiple user roles, and highly configurable workflows. To ensure consistency and scalability across the dashboard, I also owned and evolved its design system

The Challenge
Designing Swiss Climate Challenge meant working across two interconnected products, each serving different users and business goals.
The mobile app needed to simplify complex mobility data into engaging, everyday experiences, while the management dashboard had to support highly configurable workflows for organisations running large-scale sustainability campaigns. At the same time, the platform relied on a distributed microservice architecture, requiring interfaces that gracefully handled asynchronous data, loading states, and partial system failures without compromising usability.
